SKATE FOR A CAUSE ON GO SKATEBOARDING DAY!
The Sheckler Foundation announced their next Skate for a Cause, this coming Go Skateboarding Day, June 21, 2023. This year they are offering the community 2 fun ways to participate in a family friendly fundraising event. Skaters, family, friends and sponsors are encouraged to create a team to raise funds and awareness of the Sheckler Foundation and the programs that better lives through skateboarding.
The goal is to see our Sheckler Foundation family all over the world come together and SKATE FOR A CAUSE on international Go Skateboarding Day 2023! Are you in? Head to https://www.shecklerfoundation.org/ to get registered!
- Option #1 (In Person) Fundraising local skaters and their teams are invited to our private training facility "Sandlot Times" for a fun day of skating, food, a fun zone and social interaction with the skateboarding community.
- Option#2 Not local? Create a fundraising team and go out and skate in your community on Go Skateboarding Day!
How it works:
- Register for Skate for a Cause. You don’t have to be a skater to join a team. Skaters and Homies (non-skaters) are welcome to join us.
- You can choose to lead a team, as a captain, or join a team.
- Teams are limited to 12 participants.
- Send email through your peer-2-peer page inviting your family and friends to sponsor you team.
- Join your team on Wednesday, June 21st to skate at “Sandlot Times” or another location, if your team is not able to join us in person.
What’s included:
- All registered Skater/ Homies receive an event t-shirt.
- All registered Skater/ Homies will be invited to the Sandlot Times skatepark on Go Skateboarding Day, June 21, 2023.
- Event will feature food vendors, sponsor activations and fun zone.
Prizes:
- Teams that raise over $1200 and individuals that raise more than $100 will receive free food, drink, and fun zone tickets.
- Teams that raise over $3500 and individuals that raise more than $500 will receive a free Sandlot Times Skateboard deck.
- The Team that raises the most money will be invited back to the Sandlot Times Skatepark for a private skating party with Ryan Sheckler and the Sandlot Times crew. Winners will also receive prizes 1 and 2 listed above.
